Razzmatazz jumps into roast of Somizi

Fikile Mbalula will bring the spirit of Asinavalo to the upcoming Comedy Central Roast of Somizi, which will air on Comedy Central (DStv channel 122) on Monday, May 7 at 9pm, followed by the extended, uncensored version to Showmax subscribers from Tuesday, May 8.

The ANC’s head of elections, Mbalula is no stranger to South Africans. Now instead of being roasted by the media and members of parliament, he will be setting fire to the stage and roasting some of the country’s best-known personalities.

“I am looking forward to taking part in the roast. It promises to be an exciting, razzmatazz experience. This will be a chance to showcase the greatness of our ability to get together as people of Mzansi to laugh and connect,” he said.

Dillon Khan, vice president for Comedy Central and creative services at Viacom International Media Networks, added: “In keeping with bringing spice to our roasts, Fikile is the perfect addition to our glittering line-up. He is set to spark social with his wanya tsotsi fire!”
