CORRECTION AND APOLOGY

In yesterday’s edition, in a report on the upgrades being carried out to Wonderboom airport in Pretoria, there was an incorrect and misleading headline.

Wonderboom airport is not closing for the duration of the renovations and upgrades.

The opposite is, in fact, true.

The airport has merely suspended flights between it and Cape Town.

All other activities at the airport – a major hub for private and small commercial aviation – continue as normal.

The Citizen apologises for the incorrect headline.
