Sanco calls for action a er fire

The South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) has called for housing delivery and an accelerated shack eradication programme after eight people died in a fire in Khayelitsha on the Cape Flats in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Sanco national spokesperson, Jabu Mahlangu, said: “The frightful deaths should weigh heavily on the conscience of those who have it in their power to act but procrastinate.” – ANA
