Chippa chase Mbatha

Chippa United are said to be interested in Platinum Stars winger Sibongakonke Mbatha (below), whose club have been relegated to the National First Division. According to the source, Mbatha has been on the radar of the Chilli Boys since his days at Bidvest Wits and now with Dikwena relegated, they see it as an opportunity to try and lure the junior international to Eastern Cape. “I am sure the management will do everything in their power to try and get him (Mbatha). The boy is talented and has the potential to be one of the top players in the Premiership. It is just that he has not been given much chance to show what he can really do. I think the first time they saw him it was two years ago when he was playing for Amajita and they have been following him ever since,” said the source.
