How does the flu lead to pneumonia?

Flu is caused by the influenza virus. Pneumonia on the other hand can be caused by bacterial, fungal or viral infections. One way is if the virus is untreated and persists, causing the viral pneumonia. Another way is if you get a secondary bacterial infection. It mostly happens in people with a weak immune system from either age or chronic illness. Advice is to annually vaccinate for flu or treat it immediately if you get symptoms.

What is the cause of recurrent ear infection in one ear?

There might be anatomical abnormalities in the ear that increases susceptibility to infections. A foreign body in the ear may also lead to infections. A weak immune system always increases your chances of getting infections. Please visit your doctor for a thorough investigation as there might be more serious causes.

I was diagnosed with diabetes years ago and now my doctor is saying I may have to get one limb (leg) amputated.

I would like a second opinion. Is there no other solution ? I don’t want to loose my leg.

I am sorry to hear that. Diabetic foot does happen and can lead to amputation of the leg. Please visit a physician to check if your sugar is controlled. They will also check if the blood flow in the leg is normal and whether the leg can be saved.

Unfortunately only a specialist will know for sure if there is hope for your leg.
