Man gets prison for rape of child

A 61-year-old man was sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment by the Tsomo regional magistrate court for the rape of a fiveyear-old girl two years ago, Eastern Cape police said yesterday.

Spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha said Mzimkhulu Sotomela was sentenced on Wednesday for the 2016 rape.

The girl was playing with other children when Sotomela called her to his house and raped her. – ANA
