GBK ‘septic’ for Famous Brands

Analysts are speculating that SA’s Famous Brands may have had enough of its UK-based Gourmet Burger Kitchen.

The chain made an operating loss of £2.2 million (about R41 million) in the 22 weeks ending July 29, compared with £680 000 the previous year. The stock dropped for a sixth day in Johannesburg, bringing its decline for the week to 7.5%. – Bloomberg
