SA stars set to go out with a bang

Seven South African athletes will compete at today’s Diamond League meeting in Birmingham, which forms the last stop in the annual track and field series ahead of the finals later this month.

Sprinters Akani Simbine and Ncincilili Titi will turn out in the men’s 100m dash, while Luvo Manyonga and Zarck Visser are in the long jump battle, and Antonio Alkana goes in the 110m hurdles contest.

Among the SA women, Wenda Nel is in the 400m hurdles race and Dom ScottEfurd goes in the 3 000m event. – Wesley Botton
