Unnecessary stop signs wasting fuel

-

Bob Gillies is so right about needless stop signs.

During 1992/93 year, the Beacon Bay municipality removed nearly all the stop signs.

I was operating a driving school at the time, using a Nissan Sentra 1300 and a Toyota Corolla 1300.

The result of the change to giveways was less brake and clutch repairs, less tyre wear and the petrol depot at the harbour reported a drop in sales of 2% of all brands on average.

If one suburb in East London could save that much, what could a whole country save?
