Russian-linked hackers foiled

Washington – Microsoft Corp said on Monday it had recently thwarted hackers associated with Russian government attempts to steal user information from conservative groups that promote democracy and advocate for cybersecurity.

The firm transferred control of six domains created by Strontium, which is associated with Moscow, saying they pose security threats to groups connected with both US political parties. – Reuters
