Government to blame for addicts
Alarge part of today's population lives in poverty, fear, stress, anxiety and hopelessness due to the current situation in the country. It is actually surprising that only 20% are either on alcohol, drugs or both. These addictions take one out of the reality of the lives they are living today in South Africa and for a short while all is fine, until normality resumes and once again alcohol and drugs are sought for another escape.
Only when joblessness, poverty and crime are seriously addressed by government, and the youngsters have something to live and hope for, will the alcohol and drug problem possibly reduce, that also being dependant on the government seriously addressing the dealing syndicates . Bob Gillies
