ANC NEC has all the power

Cyril Ramaphosa did not need to announce 30 000 retrenchments.

All that is required is to expedite the prosecution of the corrupt which, together with retirements and a hiring freeze, will easily result in a 30 000 staff reduction.

Unfortunately, fewer and fewer people believe that the prosecutions will ever happen, nor will lifestyle audits.

Most people don’t realise that the president has little power.
