WHERE ARE GOOD CARBS FOUND?

Perhaps I’m getting a little ahead of myself. Let’s go back to that thing about why not all carbs may not be that good for you. Well, basically the rule of thumb is try to avoid too many processed carbs like sweets, sugary stuff, white flour, white rice and pastries (which are basically a combinatio­n of processed flour and sugar).

The good carbs are essentiall­y found in natural dairy, fruit, starchy vegetables, legumes and wholegrain­s, like brown rice. Therein lie the carbs that give energy and sustenance, two key factors for the highperfor­mance athlete.
