Elgar, Markram climb rankings

Proteas openers Dean Elgar and Aiden Markram have climbed to ninth and 10th position respectively on the latest rankings for Test batsmen.

Elgar was 10th, while Markram was 11th, but both endured poor form in Sri Lanka recently. The left-handed Elgar made 8, 4, 0 and 37 to the right-handed Markram’s 0, 19, 7 and 14.

In the bowling rankings, seamers Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander are second and fourth. – ANA
