Pitso was nearly out

Phakaaathi has it on good authority that former Mamelodi Sundowns technical director Erik Hamren had been brought in to Chloorkop to take over from coach Pitso Mosimane, as the former Bafana Bafana coach’s relationship with club president Patrice Motsepe had gone sour. However, when the two kissed and made up, Hamren became a liability and had to leave the club less than a year into the job. The Swedish mentor has since taken up a post as Iceland head coach.
