Tshabalala jets out

Chiefs confirmed yesterday that Siphiwe Tshabalala has left them to join Turkish side BB Erzurumspor. “I always wanted to play overseas, in particular in Europe and I have never been shy to talk about that. It should have happened a long time ago, but I think that it’s God’s time,” the 33 year-old told the Amakhosi website. Tshabalala joined Chiefs in January 2007 and went on to win plenty of domestic silverware, including two Absa Premiership titles. – Jonty Mark
