The Bedfordview Traffic Department licensing offices this week closed until further notice because there are no printer cartridges, reports Bedfordview Edenvale News.

The department closed on Monday.

Ward 20 councillor Jill Humphreys confirmed the closure, saying the “drive-through” was closed last week for the same reason.

“It is unacceptable in the extreme that an item like this is the cause of such an essential service being unavailable”.

Humphreys said some of the printers are specialised, as per the Enatis system requirements, and require specific printer cartridges not readily available. officially
