Farewell to August with ‘miles’ of good racing and some hope for punters

-

- There should be something for everyone to celebrate the last day of August today – even if racing is all on Kranji’s Polytrack. There is the offer of an interesting race in te form of the Kranji Stakes B mile to an answer to the last race which should send punters home smiling.

DICTON looks the horse to

Singapore

beat in Race 7 on what he showed when winning very well in Class 3 company over this trip last start and given that was his first win in Singapore, the former French (via Hong Kong) Group winner can go on with the job.

But he will need to be at his best in this field with McGREGOR in very honest form and gets his chance from gate 1 with Duric a factor while trainer Lee Freedman plays a big hand in this with his two runners - CHAIRMAN and MR DUJARDIN - both winning hopes.

Add ROBIN HOOD into the winning mix with SOUTHERN SPUR a knockout hope on the back of a last start placing behind DICTON with his 4kg claim a factor in this.

e albeit all on the Poly - at the last meeting for August and while the best bet (IMPERIUM) may be in the lucky last, the Kranji Stakes B mile (race 5) looks the most interesting race on the card.

As mentioned, the best bet may be in the last race with the promising IMPERIUM looking very well placed in Class 4 Company on the Polytrack and, if this four-yearold gets things right, he may be too good for what is a solid at best field.

Best Bets: (IMPERIUM Race 9, Win), (WITHOUT PREJUDICE Race 1, value) and (NEO’S CLASSIC Race 6, value).

Jackpot: Race 6 (1, 3, 4 and 5), Race 7 (1, 2, 4 and 7), Race 8 (1, 2, 4, 5 and 8), Race 9 (3).
