‘SERIOUS’: REQUEST TO POLICE TOP BRASS FOR INVESTIGATION OF MALEMA

Gangster alleges EFF leader offered him guns and cash for farm murders.

AfriForum has made a formal application to national police commissioner General Khehla Sitole for an investigation of EFF leader Julius Malema.

The lobby group want a probe into the allegations made by a member of a prison gang, who said that Malema had approached him on the subject of farm murders.

In a recorded interview with a member of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) and a member of the 28s prison gang, the man claimed that Malema had promised to help him continue killing farmers when he was released from prison.

Malema allegedly said he would ensure the gang members had balaclavas, weapons and money to carry out farm murders.

The interview formed part of a Carte Blanche investigation last year.

AfriForum also referred to these claims against Malema at the launch of the book, Kill The Boer, written by the group’s deputy CEO, Ernst Roets, in June.

The book paints a picture of white farmers subjected to widespread vilification and politically inspired vitriol.

In the chapter, Zeitgeist, Roets concludes that white farmers are unfairly associated with depravity and brutality, sentiments that are encapsulated in the chant “kill the farmer, kill the Boer”.
