Mining Charter out in November

South Africa aims to publish its long-delayed Mining Charter by November, Mines Minister Gwede Mantashe said.

A period for the public to submit comments ended yesterday before government consolidates the final law.

“It is envisaged that the final Mining Charter will be published for implementation by November 2018, in order to entrench necessary regulatory certainty,” he said. – Reuters
