Advancedsp.co.za Time to think about bucket list

-

It is the perfect time of year to have this conversation with you. You have been working like a machine, the year has flown and you are in desperate need of some excitement, a holiday or change in your life.

This is then the perfect time to fuel your new-found energy by typing up a bucket list.

As you get older, it is common for conversation to turn to saying how quickly time is flying. And before you know it, you are halfway through your life and you will feel as though there is still so much to do. And there is the main reason for your bucket list. This list enforces actions that are dear to you and when that last day dawns on you, you can go with a smile on your face because you have lived, loved and enjoyed your life to the fullest.

The very next negative thought you might have is, “I just don’t have the money”. Let me give you your first fear to conquer: Don’t give a damn about what you don’t have – be grateful for what you do have. Repeat in the mirror every morning after applying that anti-wrinkle cream.

A bucket list must not be seen as a list of things you need to do before you die because that puts a timeline on your life. As you start ticking your bucket list, add to it and set bigger and more fulfilling goals. The important thing to remember is the day you start your list, will be the day you start living.

What are the rules I need to know in order to start a bucket list? I am so glad you asked that question, because yes, as with any bucket list, there has to be a game plan and you need to make sure your game plan comes with accountability. At this point perhaps, phone up your best mate for a drink or perhaps your loved one and pitch the idea to him or her about doing a bucket list together. The two of you will have a lot in common. This is a great opportunity to strengthen relationships and at the same time have a partner-in-crime on your journey to happiness.
