Windfall for unse led Sudan

Chinese President Xi Jinping has vowed to support Sudan in grappling with its economic ills and has announced a 400 million yuan grant (R873 million) and a 200 million yuan interest-free loan to the East African nation.

This followed the arrival of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir in the Chinese capital Beijing over the weekend to participate in the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, the Sudan Tribune reported. – ANA
