Nodada fighting for the cause

Benni McCarthy has revealed that Cape Town City midfielder Thabo Nodada (above) insists on playing every game even though he may be carrying an injury. “This player doesn’t want to hear anything about injuries. He is too resilient and he wants to play all the time and when you ask him if he is okay he will say yes because he doesn’t want to disappoint the team. But in the end you have to listen to your body,” said the City coach. “He kind of reminds me of myself when I was playing. I was not the type of player to intercept passes and all that, but the way he plays and his hunger reminds me of myself,” McCarthy added.
