Ryder Cup looms for DeChambeau

– Bryson DeChambeau all but assured himself of a Ryder Cup debut here on Monday, sealing his second straight title with a comfortable two-shot victory in the Dell Technologies Championship in Boston.

DeChambeau, 24, fired six birdies in a closing round four-under 67 for his third victory of 2018 with a 16-under tally.

The Florida-based golfer had stormed to a four-shot success in last week’s Northern Trust in New Jersey and with this win has stretched his lead at the top of the FedEx Cup Play-Off series.

His win is a third in nine Tour events and he is the first player in 10 years to capture the opening two events of the PGA’s lucrative post-season. –
