London – Police and prosecutor­s believe the Novichok nerve agent attack on former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, in Salisbury this year was carried out by two Russian military intelligen­ce officers, who were almost certainly acting with the approval of senior Russian officials.
