The Yvette Bremner stable could get punters away to a flying start at the Fairview Polytrack today Friday with three-year-old Rebel Wilson who contests Race 1 with Ryan Munger aboard in a Maiden Plate (F&M) over 1000m.

This daughter of Sail Fom Seattle showed vastly improved pace last time when in need of the run after a rest and finishing second over 1300m at the Polytrack. She will step out much fitter with the benefit of that run and should go one better this time over the shorter distance.

Trainer Alan Greeff holds a strong hand in Race 2 with four runners in a 1200m MR 104 Handicap, but the one who makes most appeal is his four-time winner Seattle Flame (Greg Cheyne).

This four-year-old is coming to hand after being gelded and his last run was indeed encouraging as he carried 61.5kg and finished third over the course distance. Though up in class, he could recoup the losses this time with just 53.5kg to shoulder and having a good draw.

Greeff and Cheyne could follow up with Adalberto in Race 3, a 1200m Maiden Plate contest. This three-year-old has been placed in his last three starts and was unlucky last time when third with Charles Ndlovu up as he had a bad start. If away on level terms he will be tough to beat.

Sharon Kotzen-trained Counting Stars (Louis Mxothwa) looks on target to make it five consecutive wins in Race 4, a 1200m MR 86 Handicap. The five-year-old takes on stronger opposition this time, but carrying 5kg less he could be up to the task again.

The one to follow in Race 5, a 1600m MR 79 Handicap, is Free Agent out of Tara Laing’s stable. This six-year-old recaptured top form three runs back with a clearcut win over 1600m. He followed up with a creditable third over 1900m, and then scored a gutsy win when reverting to 1600m.
