Bold Thruster and Lim's Lightning to strike at Kranji

-

– It's hard to pinpoint the most interesting race on today’s mixed surface Kranji meeting.

The likes of Bold Thruster and Lim’s Lightning - both very impressive three-year-olds - get a chance to show they are up to the Class 3 task in Race 6 and Race 8 respectively, while the lightlyraced Miss Dusty also looks a progressive type who is very well

placed to win first up in Class 4 company in Race 3.

But it may be Race 7, the Kranji Stakes C mile, run on the Polytrack, that provides the busiest finish with a case to be made for at least five of the 11-horse field.

Claudia’s Beauty will find this a lot easier than what the five-year-old faced in the Group 1 Charity Bowl and Derby and must be a huge show on best Polytrack form. Star Empire will also have claims, given the fouryear-old has run into very smart types at his last two starts, while Letigo with blinkers added and last start winner, Key Success, are in this up to their respective eyeballs. Add the enigmatic Lord Of Cloud - who should find the Polytrack 1600m ideal - and the race looks a beauty with the form likely to hold up for many a month.

Best Bet: Bold Thruster to win in Race 6. Jockey Barend Vorster has been in cracking form of late and the likeable South African expat will give Bold Thruster every chance.

Value bet: Classic in Race 9

Jackpot: Leg 1 (10); Leg 2 (2,7,8,10); Leg 3 (4,6,7,14) Leg 4 (1,2,5,7,8) – Singapore Turf Club
