Poor parenting, teaching blamed

The majority of South Africans have no concept of discipline. Poor parenting, ill-disciplined teachers and a nonexistent police force have allowed a devil-maycare attitude to life in general to mushroom.

Those of us who are law abid- ing live in fear as criminality has been allowed to escalate by a nonfunctioning government.

Civilised people in this country are about to take the law in their own hands... until someone in this ANC fiasco of a government steps up and starts imposing much-needed draconian laws. Peter Bachtis
