Harsh reality for beaten Proteas

-

South Africa’s netball team were handed a convincing 61-44 defeat by Australia in their Sanzea Quad Series opener on Saturday, after losing touch in the second half of their clash against the world champions in Auckland.

The Proteas put up a fight in the early stages and trailed just 28-24 at half-time, but the Diamonds drew clear in the third quarter.

“Our decision-making let us down in the second half,” said Proteas captain Bongi Msomi (above).
