Good rainfall for the Mother City

The City of Cape Town yesterday announced that dam levels feeding the city had improved to 70% of storage capacity over the past week.

This came as Cape Town and surrounding areas experienced heavy rainfall overnight on Sunday and into yesterday, with further rainfall predicted today and tomorrow.

The city said the average water consumption in the last week had also declined from 526 million to 505 million litres per day.– ANA
