Good rainfall for the Mother City

The City of Cape Town yesterday announced that dam levels feeding the city had improved to 70% of storage capacity over the past week.

This came as Cape Town and surroundin­g areas experience­d heavy rainfall overnight on Sunday and into yesterday, with further rainfall predicted today and tomorrow.

The city said the average water consumptio­n in the last week had also declined from 526 million to 505 million litres per day.– ANA
