Durban varsity management given list of demands by student council.

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) has denied reports that its campuses were shut down following a student protest yesterday, but said its management was meeting the student representa­tive council (SRC) to discuss issues that were raised in a memorandum.

This comes after lectures at DUT were disrupted as thousands of students walked off campus over the nonpayment of student meal allowances – known as S-Bux – this semester.

Last weekend, a graphic calling for #ShutDownDu­t circulated on social media.
