Chad ill, but two medals for SA
With Chad le Clos left struggling, two South Africans did well to keep the flag flying with podium performances at the second leg of the Swimming World Cup in Doha at the weekend.
Ryan Coetzee earned silver in the men’s 100m butterfly and bronze in the 50m fly, while Carina Brand secured bronze in the women’s 200m fly.
Having won four medals at the opening leg of the series in Kazan, Le Clos was well off his best after falling ill. – Own Correspondent
