NHA’s Lyndon Barends resigns

National Horseracing Authority (NHA) Chief Executive Lyndon Barends has resigned with immediate effect.

The NHA announced yesterday it had received Barends’ written notice of resignation.

This followed a press release on 4 September saying Barends had, for personal reasons, taken leave of absence.

Since then the NHA’s affairs have been supervised and managed by Chairman of the Board Ken Truter, assisted by the executive management.
