Council snubs club

Phakaaathi has been reliably informed that the City of Tshwane has not been playing ball in terms of allowing Matsantsantsa A Pitori to lease the famous old Caledonian Stadium. United are looking for a move away from the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville where they play most of their home games. In fact, the club were ready to buy the stadium, which has been lying idle in Arcadia. “We wanted to buy that stadium and make it our home ground but the city does not want that. They are refusing to give us that stadium and they are not supportive,” said a source well-placed at the club.
