Business activity shrinking – Sarb

The South African Reserve Bank’s composite leading business cycle indicator fell 0.9% month-on-month in July as job advertisements fell and hours worked in the manufacturing sector decreased, data showed.

The indicator collects data including vehicle sales, job advertisements, business confidence and money supply to gauge the outlook for Africa’s most industrialised economy. – Reuters
