Coach, club at odds

Things are not smooth-sailing at Free State Stars and it is not only because the team have not been able to emulate last season’s performances but rather because of strained relations between the coach and management. A source close to the Bethlehembased side has claimed that Ea Lla Koto management had to exercise their one-year extension on Luc Eymael’s (above) contract because he had won the Nedbank Cup. “He is a good coach and really knows his job but it is his manner and character that has people unhappy. He wants to do things his way without regard for club protocols,” said a source.
