American Landing to strike in Pinnacle Stakes

-

Viv Greybe

Brett Crawford-trained American Landing looks on target for a third career win at Greyville on Sunday when teamed up with Corne Orffer in Race 7 and main event, the Racing. It’s A Rush Pinnacle Stakes over 1600m.

This expensive son of Dynasty justified favouritism third time out when having Orffer aboard and a clear-cut maiden winner over 2000m at Durbanville. Greg Cheyne had the ride next time when the colt was a creditable third over 2500m at Kenilworth.

The colt’s next mission was the 2400m East Cape Derby at Fairview where he had Richard Fourie up and came from near last to score by 5.75 lengths.

This four-year-old should step out fitter this time and will be tough to beat.

Next best are Parabola, Seattle Skyline, Roy Had Enough and Baltic Amber.

The meeting’s suggested TAB Double is: 1 Awayinthewoods (Race 1) with 1 Cat’s Legacy (Race 5).
