Barca announce record revenues

– Spanish champions Barcelona said this week that they were close to setting a new record turnover of €960 million for the 2018/19 season with a net profit of €11m.

According to the budget estimate approved by the club’s board of directors, in the 2017/18 season, Barcelona had a turnover of €914m, exceeding its forecast of €897m, for a profit of €32m.

For the current season, expenses are expected to increase to €929m, but will be offset by the increase in revenues, the club said, adding the target of a €1bn turnover by 2021 is still within reach. –
