Paris honours designer Rykiel
– Parisians stepped out yesterday to do their organic shopping at a street market named after fashion designer Sonia Rykiel.
Mayor Anne Hidalgo declared Allee Sonya Rykiel open, with the label staging its fashion week show between the stalls.
It is in a Left Bank boulevard where Rykiel, who died in 2016, shopped.
It is the first time Paris has named any kind of thoroughfare after a fashion designer. – AFP
