Dear Doctor, Please explain what heat rash is?

Some people get a rash or eczema on the skin when exposed either to heat from the sun or direct sunlight. Some get it when, for example, working in very hot environments. That rash is then called a heat rash. It is definitely preventable by limiting exposure or wearing protective clothing. It can be relieved by medication.

Dear Doctor, How do you deal with a child’s recurrent lice problem in their hair?

Firstly, you need to identify how the child is getting exposed to lice and deal with that. If it is bedding, change it and clean it. If it’s house pets, please get them washed and lice removed from them. Shave the child’s hair to deal with them immediately and get medication from your local doctor.

Dear Doctor, Can severe headaches and moods swing be made worse by contraceptives? What would you advise I take or use to prevent or stop this?

Yes, unfortunately some contraceptives have been linked with those side effects. Please discuss with your doctor to be put on more suitable alternatives. That is the only way you can manage this. Change contraceptives.
