Precious victory for SA’s Mashele

SA cross country champion Precious Mashele added to his growing list of domestic titles, earning his maiden road running crown on Saturday by clinching victory at the SA 10km Championships in Middelburg.

Mashele, who lifted the national cross country crown a few weeks earlier, took the race in 29:43, just three seconds clear of silver medallist Thabang Mosiako.

Lebogang Phalula won the women’s race, winning the national title in 35:57, while Jenet Mbhele was second in 36:18. – Wesley Botton
