Court remands accused killer

The man accused of the murder of Cape Town biker Zelda van Niekerk, who was shot during a robbery on the N1 last Friday, appeared in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Lucien Ackerman, 33, along with two unknown accomplices, allegedly attacked Van Niekerk, 45, after she stopped to wait for another biker on the busy N1 highway.

Ackerman was arrested following a tip-off.

He was remanded and the matter postponed to November 23. – ANA
