Coal contracts to recover supply

Eskom is still running low on fuel at more than half of its power stations and expects to finish supply contracts this month that will replenish the stockpiles.

Ten of Eskom’s 15 baseload stations throughout the country have less than three weeks of coal, spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe said. “Stock levels remain low and are not being replenished fast enough.”
