SA primed for a be er effort

Having earned just one podium place at the previous edition of the Games in Nanjing four years ago, courtesy of 400m hurdles gold medallist Gezelle Magerman, the SA team will be looking for an improved performanc­e at the Youth Olympics starting in Buenos Aires today.

The 70-member national squad will compete in athletics, archery, triathlon, hockey (girls), rugby Sevens (boys) and modern pentathlon.
