Hockenheim beckons...
South African youngster Jonathan Aberdein will head to one of his happy hunting grounds this weekend, with the 2018 European Formula 3 Championship to end at the German Hockenheim circuit.
Aberdein, pictured, last raced at Hockenheim in 2017, when he finished second overall in his final European Formula 4 race.
“We closed off our ADAC Formula 4 campaign with a podium place at Hockenheim last year and head back there to race against most of the guys I competed with last season – only it is now in Formula 3,” Aberdein said.
His late season charge sees him lying 12th overall in the inmensely competitive FIA European Formula 3 championship and sixth in the rookie standings.
There’s practice on Friday morning with qualifying races on Saturday, and more races on Sunday. – Own Correspondent
