-

South Africa’s Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) finished a solid fourth in last Sunday’s inaugural Thailand Moto2 Grand Prix at the Buriram circuit near Bangkok.

Binder (left) partook in a spectacular victory dogfight, but dropped back after sliding wide under braking. In the end it was Francesco Bagnaia (Sky VR46) who emerged victorious, taking his seventh Moto2 victory of the season.

He finished 1.5 seconds ahead of his Sky team-mate Luca Marini, while Binder’s Red Bull KTM team-mate Miguel Oliveira, came home third.

Binder currently lies third in the Moto2 championship with 157 points, trailing Oliveira (231) and Bagnaia (259).

Fellow South African Steven Odendaal took his NB-RW to 23rd place after suffering both handling and power problems in the Moto2 race.
