Sympathy for President Ramaphosa

-

Ireally symphathise with the position President Cyril Ramaphosa, pictured, finds himself in. What he inherited in the government and the ANC is causing him sleepless nights. He never bargained for this.

In the ANC, he finds himself surrounded by factions hostile towards him and still suffering from the December ANC conference hangover.

They are busy plotting against Ramaphosa and his supporters, hence the celebrations about former minister Nene’s shenanigans and they still believe more of his staunch supporters will fall on their swords.

Factions are entrenched and are busy working against each other instead of campaigning for an ANC victory in the 2019 elections.

In the ANC, Ramaphosa can’t choose who to lead with since leadership outcomes are determined by delegates.

In government, he inherited compromised ministers and members of parliament who shook hands with the Guptas.

It looks like under the former president’s term it was everyone for himself/herself because the head was compromised.

They are too used to negotiating deals for their siblings and for themselves. Moses Zola Manake
