Free State cops ‘foil robbery’

Police in Phuthaditjhaba have arrested three men for being in possession of illegal firearms and ammunition, and foiled an armed robbery they were seemingly planning, Free State police said yesterday.

Police spotted three suspects who, when seeing the police, tried to run away. Two were arrested. The third suspect was later caught heading towards Mandela Park.

They are due to appear in the Phuthaditjhaba Magistrate’s Court today. – ANA
