Moody’s rating on SA in the pipeline

Moody’s did not release a rating for South Africa on Friday so it remains at Baa3 stable.

No new date was available from the rating agency, but it may come in the second half of November or early December or else March next year.

Moody’s is expected to keep ratings unchanged this year and only downgrade the outlook after 2019’s budget as further budget and growth downward surprises come to a head with limited signals of further reforms. – Intellidex
