Stuart Baxter’s Bafana Bafana were the big winners in the third round of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after demolishing the Seychelles 6-0, recording the biggest victory in their history. For that, Baxter takes his seat in the dugout as the Coach of the Week. His captain Thulani Hlatshwayo is at the heart of defence for keeping a clean sheet, forcing an own-goal and netting Bafana’s second. Partnering him is Zimbabwe’s Ronald Pfumbidzai who opened the scoring leading up to Zimbabwe’s 2-1 upset over the DRC away after skipper Knowledge Musona was red-carded. In midfield, Lebo Maboe marked his official Bafana debut with two assists, while Toni Silva scored Guinea-Bissau’s winning goal against Zambia and Deon Hotto clinched a stoppage-time winner against Mozambique. Up front, Justin Shongo’s two goals against Guinea-Bissau sees him team up with Lebo Mothiba, who scored a delightful goal and assisted Percy Tau to score Bafana’s fourth goal.
